Polyethylene terephthalate is the most common thermoplastic polymer resin of the polyester family. It is used mostly in fibers for clothing, containers for packaging foods and beverages, and with glass fibers for engineering resins.
Common applications include: conveyor and drive belts, seat belts and carbonated beverage bottles.
