Three custom UHMW profiles were extruded and assembled to form a tray, lid, and compartments
designed to prevent product tangling. The snap-fit configuration allowed secure closure
while maintaining application-specific dimensional control.
A previous metal and wood form required significant labor and had limited lifespan.
By extruding the profile in UHMW, a consistent long-length solution was produced,
improving durability and extending operational life.
A specialized process was developed to apply double-sided tape to UHMW extrusions,
allowing secure attachment without visible fasteners and supporting bonding
to various surface types.
UHMW extrusions were used as a low-friction surface within a recreational football
